Naomi Watanabe becomes the face of Shu Uemura’s Limited time Lipsticks

Japanese cosmetics "Shu uemura” appoint Watanabe Naomi as its brand ambassador. Inspired by her bold and confident style, a series of limited time lipsticks are released. A comedic performer in Japan, her quirkiness and humor in dance, singing, and acting has garnered attention even from abroad. Shu uemura wanted to capture the freedom, confidence, and beauty she extrudes to create the “Matttitude Lipstick Collection”. They also collaborated with French jewelry & accessory brand "Yazbukey" for the packaging which was designed in a colourful pop design. Watanabe Naomi photographed 4 looks in coordination to the collection themes: Sexy, Lovely, Funky, and Edgy.

    It goes without saying that choosing an ambassador is sometimes critical for the brand. Looking at Naomi Watanabe of “Shu Uemura” and Kate Blanchett as the global ambassador of "Giorgio Armani Beauty", is it just me or does it seem that the former aims to give consumers a sense of superiority and security while the latter is  catered to Designer Armani’s personal preferences?
