French cosmetics brand, CLARINS recently introduced a new lip stain that has been tested and proven not to fade even after 300 kisses. Japan has been affected by the popularity of colour cosmetics and the brand has recently shown a positive growth trend. Make-up products are particularly favoured by young consumers and the average age of consumers were 5 years younger in 2017 compared to 2016. The new product, ‘Water Lip Stain’, as its name claims, has a watery texture that’s lightweight and refreshing but most importantly, is kiss-proof. It comes in three colours: rose, orange, and violet where different looks can be created depending on the mood and occasion. In accompaniment, the ‘Comfort Lip Oil’ (another popular product of Clarins) introduced two new limited edition colours. Another product of hot topic is the ‘Fix Makeup’ spray that has a light rose scent and is applied that sets makeup giving a long-lasting freshness throughout the day.
