Timberland, known worldwide for its iconic yellow boot, announced a partnership with British designer Christopher Raeburn, who will serve as Global Creative Director for the brand on Oct. 25.
Raeburn equally has his own eponymous brand, Christopher Raeburn, where he has reworked surplus fabrics to create luxurious handcrafted products combining with integrity and purpose applied to menswear, womenswear, luggage and accessories. Ensuring such holistic design approach, he will share his time and vision equally with Timberland becoming a key stakeholder in developing the brand’s global creative vision by elevating the label’s commitment to responsible sourcing, inclusivity and community.
Timberland and Raeburn first collaborated on a global apparel capsule collection, Timberland x Christopher Raeburn, that debuted earlier this year at London Fashion Week that’s in line with his REMADE philosophy. The collection was created from vintage Timberland items scoured from street markets and second-hand shops that he then meticulously deconstructed and remade into contemporary pieces for the runway.
