Canadian Luxury fashion house PORTS 1961 for the first time will open its doors at Isetan Shinjuku for a limited time pop up shop from Oct. 17 to Oct. 30 located in the main building on the 3rd floor.
Founded by Japanese Canadian, Luke Tanabe who built his clothing empire and debuted in New York, 2004. The brand is located in various parts of the world: Paris, Hong Kong, Korea, China, and now for the first time in its Japan debut for 2 weeks. For the first day of the pop up, creative director Natasha Cagalj attended to welcome and greet fellow customers.
At the popup store, you can expect to see the 2018 Autumn Winter capsule collection, “MADE IN” with various assortments from shoes, bags, clothes, scarves and many more. PORTS in this collection is transcending over the origins and dividing borders of different countries by unabashedly blowing up the manufacturer's label MADE IN ENGLAND and MADE IN ITALY. Natasha Cagalj is an alumni of Central St. Martins who right after worked as a designer at Cerruti at the start of her career. In 2001, she worked as Alber Elbaz's chief supporter and in 205 became the head of design at Stella McCartney for 7 years.
