Japanese eyewear brand JINS launched a new series called Big Shape by la farfa in a joint project with Japan’s first chubby girl fashion magazine, la farfa, on July 12th. As the name states, the collection supposedly solves the dilemma of frame sizing for various face shapes providing a fashionable and comfortable solution.

In order for the collection to take flight, JINS interviewed popular models from la farfa, listening and answering their distresses about eyewear being "too tight", " frames resting on the cheeks", "frames sliding off frequently" and "obtain a slimmer face". Through trial and error, they repeatedly sampled different wearing various samples and finally ended with the all new collection. The glasses have a wider width than usual and the inclination of the front and nose pad have been finely tuned to fit.

With the increasing number of brands dealing with plus size clothes, it seems like an obvious thing for fashion eyewear pieces to be upgraded as well.
