Jan. 2 marks the worldwide launch of Balenciaga’s first collection developed with Kering Eyewear. The new collection was available for the first time exclusively at Dover Street Market stores worldwide in Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York City, London, Singapore, Beijing and on their EC sites respectively.

The stores in each country features site-specific installations of custom-built glowing podiums and freestanding, mirrored walls designed using light boxes to show the new Balenciaga Eyewear campaign, a series of portraits that reflects the brand’s strong sense of optimism for the future.

Though Kering is the parent company of Balenciaga since 2001, Balenciaga’s eyewear was originally produced under the licensing of Marcolin, an Italian eyewear S.p.A who distributes and manufactures for notable names such as Moncler, Diesel, and Tom Ford. It wasn’t until last year in April when Balenciaga signed a partnership deal with Kering Eyewear, which today has 12 eyewear brands under its wings: Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, McQ, Boucheron, Pomellato, Brioni, Tomas Maier, Christopher Kane and Puma.
